I am selling a fernandes humbucking sustainer kit (ie. the driver is humbucker shaped not single coil shaped). It has 2 toggle switches, one for turning the sustainer on or off and the other to choose between harmonic and natural sustain modes. The kit is disassembled but comes with all parts necessary to mount the kit into a guitar. Included are:
-Sustainer circuit
-battery snap and battery case
-neck driver
-bridge pickup
-stereo output jack
The provided pickups sound a lot like a seymour duncan jb 59 set. the neck driver is covered with an all black, no holes pickup cover (which can be easily removed if you choose to do so) and the bridge pickup is left open. there is a decent amount of oxidation on the pole pieces on both the driver and the bridge pickup but this has literally no effect on the tone or the sustaining effect of the guitar.
to complete the job you will need either a soldering iron or you can go get it set up at any local guitar shop. the schematics can be found at: http://www.fernandesguitars.com/support/downloads/doc_details/1-fsk-101-installation-manual.html
The kit brand new costs around 300 sgd but since it is not in the best condition (the sustainer works like new but looks like its been in use for a while) i am letting it go for 100 dollars negotiable.
