Apparently one of the really sought-after pre-amps on Talkbass. It's a small, simple pedal made by a boutique producer in USA- http://zeibek.com/bass-pedals/submarine
I can't really explain what it does other than "change your tone". It has an inherent tone shape, and two knobs, one for volume and the other for tone. Works pretty much like the volume and tone knobs on your guitar/bass- tone makes it more bass-y/treble-y. Really, you can't really explain what this does without hearing it.
That said, it's a pain to carry around extra pedals just for the tone, and I've been more into the "tone is in your fingers" thing nowadays, so I guess I'll clear this out to someone who'd use it better than I would.
I reduced the price because I didn't take as good care of this pedal as I should, and the paintwork chipped after bumping other pedals in my pedalboard.
