This is a pedal along the lines of a tubescreamer but without the drawbacks. Instead, there is more flexibility and dynamics. Preserves the bass well and is highly transparent. Does not take over your tone like how a typical TS-808 would at higher gain settings. Cleans up with pick dynamics or rolling back the volume on guitar. Dial in how much of a mid-hump that you want with the "bite" knob and cut the highs according to your tastes. Can also double up as a clean boost. Overall, a joy to play.
