Hi softies,
Letting go my F XXXXXX Serial (produced in 1986-1987) Made in Japan Stratocaster (not crafted). This is a '54 reissue strat and is a really beautiful one. It is black in colour with a Soft V maple neck. Comes with USA Vintage pickups. Saddles are stamped with 'fender' logos, but are, however, quite rusted. Comes with a 3-way selector switch instead of the usual 5-way selector. Everything is original except the neck and middle pickup cover and selector switch tip.This is truly a collectors item!
It is in extremely good cosmetic condition considering its age. No visible chips but there are fine surface scratches. About 3 minor scratches in the coating. Neck is extremely clean, no major wear. A slight ding behind the headstock. Tuners are oxidized, but tune perfectly fine.
However, please note the frets do have quite some wear on them. While they are still perfectly playable, it is worth noting and undoubtedly my duty of informing the buyer first.
Action is low and is comfortable to play. Overall, this is one amazing collectable strat and a piece of history. It plays extremely well, especially with the soft v neck. As you might know, Japan strats all came with amazingly crafted necks and this old beauty is no exception. I am extremely reluctant to part with her but i need to fund some cash.
