1985 Sitka Rosewood 710 dreadnought for sale.
This guitar is 28 years old and is in excellent condition. It has great tone and playability. This serial number means this guitar was only the 3,298 guitar that Taylor built since their beginning in 1974 (first 11 years). In 1985 they had only 11 employees and produced 681 guitars in their first Lemon Grove, California factory. In 1987 Taylor moved into their second Santee, California factory.
Specs:
Solid Spruce top, solid rosewood back and sides. (Super tight grains)
Ebony Fretboard and bridge
Glossy body finish which is still shiny
25.5 scale
1-11/16 nut width.
Anthem pickup installed by Jarvis. Also upgraded with Fmi saddle. Will include original saddle.
No player wear from almost 30 years of life, but unbelievable tone. Has opened up great over the years. Guitar is shiny, fretboard is clean and frets are shiny and no dents. Tight grains on the stika.
Issues: It has about 3 tiny pin dings all over the body, noticeable unless you hold the guitar, in the light, at just the right angle. Hardly noticeable but I want to be an honest seller. There is a small scratch neck the guitar neck and it is not a crack repair. Original gold tuners have tarnished but is stable and holds guitar in tune.
Still pretty, Tone and playability makes up for it. Still Beautiful! Have to sell. Wife's
orders!! Comes with a case.
Got guitar from a friend who purchased from bgw guitar. Intended to use in church worship due to its awesome tones, but have not done so
