Just wanted a one piece setup of a good ride cymbal (maybe with a hihat). Budget $150 - $200. Let me know the brand, condition and asking price.

Need something suitable for jazz (ie. dry with light thin wash? does that make sense?) Haha, appreciate some advice too for a beginner. Whatsapp/SMS 9221224six.

haha bro seen u on the guitar side, picking up drums eh?

Tbh drums is my first instrument and been playing for quite some time. I think the cymbal market is really unlike the guitar market, where even on a tight budget in recent years you can get a fantastic guitar, such as the squier classic vibe series at ~$300. Personally I feel that for cymbals u get what u pay for in quality and hence your budget might need to increase a bit :)

Being a Zildjian fan I would recommend for the genre u mentioned, Zildjian A Sweet Ride (~$300), or Zildjian K or Zildjian K Constantinople Rides, though these may go upwards of $300 or even $500 for the constantinoples.

Paiste and Sabian round out the other main brands, but im not too familiar with their series. I know Paiste Signature Series is good, as well as Istanbul Agop rides and I think Fu-Man has a few, and on a budget u can check out Bosphorus rides as well. I do suggest at least a hi-hat and a ride for jazz.

Yeah, play play only.

Thanks for the Zildjian recommendation, I will check them out. Currently liked the sound of the Paiste Hand Hammered Jazz ride. Is that a good quality one?

Bosphorus sounds like something good if it suits my budget.

Hey not sure if we should be talking here. I'll PM you.
