Just need a pair for home use. Not particular about cosmetic condition as long as 100% working.

JBL, KRK & Behringer monitors are not cheap... they are mid range Industry standard at $450 onwards ..only the KS-40 is cheap . you'll need to state your budget on what's cheap.... cheap spk below $200 won't serve you for long term... you'll upgrade sooner or later...go for a mid-range 5" to 6" monitors.... KRK Rp5-6, Behringer 2030/3030 Truth so on.... forget about KS-40...

In a home studio. If you get the right Monitors.. you are 80% done in the set up with playback & mixdown.... you can have good Mics. guitars, synth or VST but if your playback source is average.. you can't enjoy , mix or progress much ,sound wise.

I have stated a range as I'm open to options, but preferably I'll get something lower end. I know what I need and I won't be mixing on these. But thanks for your advice anyway.

Older models and poorer condition would be possibly very cheap. Hopefully can find here if not I'll end up searching eBay.
