i am a total newbie when it comes to amp. no nothing abt it. but i know its important ;p. i recently purchase a Marshall MB15. small practice amp 15watts with 8" speakers, sounds loud when i tried it and it is loud for a 15watts. but when i kick in my pedalboard. it clips and crackles that i need to turn off my pedalboard. even when the volume is at 1 or 2. no issues when playing thru bigger amp ;ppp cos usually i play and practive via headphones and sometimes i just pick the bass and play accoustically.
dumb qns 1.
1. do i need more wattage? whats a good wattage to have b4 it clips and crackles? 60 watts? 100 watts? or do i need to bring out my gear when testing amp?
2. should i slowly invest in a seperate head + cab? a higher watts head and slowly adding the cabs? etc..
3. what is a good way to slowly build up a head and cabs? is there any starter package that can be upgraded?
4. or head/cab is not what i need? a decent combo amp that can solve my clips/crackles? that got more headroom?
advice appreciated ;p
