Situation: Setting up potential band with siblings.

Trouble: 3 person band.

So would it be better to not have a bassist or not have a lead guitarist?

What is your view and thoughts? Disadvantage and advantages?

Thanks in advance!!

OR, you could be like Keane? Piano + Drums + Bass

No Guitarist?

Haha, but i think it's better to have Drum, Bass, and Guitar (Rhythm)

Bass is really important so it would be better not to neglect it.
Are you and your siblings just starting out?

yes
so am i eversince i entered poly

I am dumping drums to my brother and the guitar for myself. So now deciding for my sister.

confirm must have bassist. ur rhythm guitarist can do lead when lead's needed anyway. without bassist there'll be no groove man

bassist and drummer i think a must.

the other can be pianists, guitarist, harmonica, whatever else.

just think of the big 3 man bands. Greenday Muse Blink182 etc.

still it depends on ur genre. playing with electronics? other effects?

I think drummer, bassist, guitarist look at eric johnson his doing really well with just 3 members. Just have to be good that's all
