I'm searching for a pickup for my acoustic guitar a Maestro SA-1
i find it troublesome for me when i want to perform in school, using the normal mic as a pickup for my guitar is rather hard for me setting up was also hard.

I've heard that there is a detachable pickup, wonder anyone here able to help me, whats the normal price and where to get it.

oh ya b4 i forget, i dun want a built in pickups, find it better to buy a new guitar then to modify my guitar. i dun have much money*sobs*

Thanx
Cheers to all Musician!!!!

well. such detachable pickup definitely do exist, thats for sure. but i can't seem to recall where did i see it. =x

Sweelee has them too. They have really cheap ones and others that are reasonably priced. The cheapest i saw was like 15 bucks.

you can get the seymour duncan woody from davis.. it costs less than $100. i got mine at $80. it sounds pretty good.

There's also the DiMarzio one, that fits across the soundhole. Can get at Swee Lee I think. Personally I still prefer built-in pickups because you can adjust your tone, and no wires sticking around everywhere other than the main cable.

ive been using the Lr baggs , M1 active for awhile now.

it is seriously an excellent product.
Good volume, no feedback .. actually sounds pretty natural (slightly magnetic)

I also have a Sunrise... its expensive... has reliability issues and requires a preamp.
however when it works... it is very very very good...

thnx guys, yah been surveying this thing, built in is good but the pricing, damn, hurts my pocket.

i've bought 1 at ranking music at brass basah to test it, bought it for $7, it sound reasonable but still no kick.hehehe
