i know this is probably not the best place to find for aspiring stand-up comedians, but why not eh ? musicians are very funny people...well at at least to other musicians.
This the thing, i'm thinking of organising a stand up comedians night, at a new venue in town which will cater to this. In terms of pricing, that's another matter. What's important now is to find the people who are interested to do so.
Other than kumar and hossan leong , stand up comedy has been pretty much dead in Singapore, with most of us turning to the internet for self entertainment. What i am looking for are individuals who believe they have the ability to entertain. You don't have to have funny stories to tell, you ought to be able to tell stories in a funny manner.
We are not looking for russel peter impersonators, please...no more 34.50 jokes, thank you. If you think you have what it takes, do email me and indicate what kind of topics you are interested in doing and a small introduction of yourself.
