why do you call it a "gadget" ? aren't they supposed to be pedals? mm? enlighten me please

maybe sometimes they're like buttons ???
like the line6 pod ... or some zoom products ...?

i wouldnt consider a rifftracker a pedal ... or a mulittrack recorder for dat matter ~

guess it just depends on whether it is a pedal or really a gadget ...
but ... gadget seems easier... as it encompasses pedals as well ... ~

some called it stompboxes too

just like some people called guitar as axe, some called it baby, funny name etc....
