for a guitar with 2 humz..

can somebody tell me which is for lead and which is for rhythm....???? confused...

depends on the song and your style. but personally, neck pick-ups sound better for solos and the other one.. nicer for distorted power chords.

i the other way round is more popular.
that is neck for rhythm, bridge for solo.

well...here`s my take,
the bridge is meant for more attack, while the neck for mellow kinda solo..
its great for clean tone too.

in a 3 way switch config u can use the centre for rhythm work.
in all depends on the tone n the emotion that ur trying to nail.

u might also notice the vol in the bride is tad louder...
some split the coil for versatility..

oh..wokae

so its basically ur own taste and preference.... is it??? i have been using neck for solos and bridge for rhythm.... then i read websites with people using the bridge for solos and james hetfield using his neck pickup for rhythm....then i tot i have been using wrongly when i realized that the bridge sounds louder....

its not fixed...for soloing you can use both... neck and bridge pickup... for a mellow smooth tone use the neck .. but for more bite and grit flick to the bridge... a variety of tones and dynamics during guitar solos enable you to sound more expressive... sounds more ... "alive"
