which instrument?

I initially started out guitar, but learnt some basic drums for awhile from my friend and jump back to guitar again awhile later. I used to have this burning flame in my heart for guitar (for quite sometime, 2 years), i enjoyed everything , boring stuff like plainly playing pent scales for 1 hour doesnt bore me out. But recently, the flame seem to die off, didnt touch my guitar for like 3 to 4 days, things get boring easily, i dont get the shiokness when i play along with friends or backing track. I dont know, if it is time to try some other instrument, but i know my main dream was to be a composer, will i still achieve this by playing bass? drum? How do you guys realise which instrument is for you? I have yet to find the right one for me, confusing

well.... i started off as a vocal in my band..... then the band has no bassist and i voluunteer to be bassist.... then the guitarist left the band and i replace my guitarist and find a new bassist.... and my current position is now guitar and vocals.... later on, i try playing drum with my cousin band.....
i see tat there is no 'shiokness' playing drum.... i give up drum and stick to guitar..... tats how i find my suitable instrument....

I think keyboards will help you compose well as you have at your fingertips a wide array of sounds and also a wide octave to cover many notes.

I like bass though :wink:

well,.. you can compose your own music with any music instrument you play,. a recorder would be handy to record those ryhtym in your head,. even just a simple "hum" will do,...
but from my experience,. most of the composers i played with are keyboard players,....they can easily mix great sound because of their equipment's versatility,..


but the bottom line is,. play whats in your heart,. dun play because you have to,. play because thats what you dig,...heeeheeeheee,.

Maybe you just need a new set of strings?

You'd be amazed how just changing to a fresh set of strings can inspire you to do so much more. :wink:
