hmmm.
my vote would prolly go out to Symphony X as the most extreme.
no doubt in my mind, michael romeo plays the most insane riffs. any guitarist will testify to that!
michael pinnella is just a master of shred keys.
rullo and lepond play the "easier" stuff.
and last but not least, russell allen has probably the best voice in metal.

:D i love symphony X :D

Blink-182.

K, maybe G3, I remember seeing a Stu Hamm bassline. Sick. Much less 3 guitarists doing Stach, Vai and Malmsteen or Johnson. :(

Possible with a turntable and synthetizer. 8)
Now maybe Nirvana, I have yet to see anyone do the "I'm singing but you don't know what I'm singing" screams of Cobain.

i think no one in world got voice like toshi leh.. never heard anyone sang liek toshi ..

anyway sebastian bach voice sounds like angra abit.. but really bach damn damn power!

Techno. Impossible.

if your keyboard has an appaeggiotor function and you have AT LEAST ONE FINGER (suppose all your other 9 fingers have been "eaten" by some deadly disease) , u could still create techno drum beats on the keyboard

I think most of Jazz Fusion bands' music are hard to cover such as Weather Report, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock band, Brand X....

as much as they sound simple, straightforward with conventional chords/cadences, and as much as some young musicians write them off as "waste of time/talent", mainstream modern RnB/soul and some of the teen bubble pop stuff is can be quite hard to play/sing. india arie, all saints, etc.. just finding the lines to play is gonna prove a big challenge already. esp for guitarists.

+1

For Spastic Inc and LTE

Their songs are hard to learn ... and once you learn them on one instrument the most difficult part is putting them together as a band and making them tight.

For Jazz Fusion like herbie hancock or chick corea, the way to cover them is to learn the progression and the main riffs ... it's very hard to try and improvise like herbie hancock ... even then he plays it differently during live ... so using your own improvisation is better rather than trying to copy herbie hancock (It's exceptionally hard and time consuming ... trust me)

hey this is the starter of the thread who voted for sX! :D

sLapshock: yes i'm very sure luca turilli must play some insane stuff too. keep listening. they're awesome stuff bro!

Prautorian: oh yeaH! cacophony too!! WOO!

sofyan: definitely LTE is up there with DT and sX. brilliant compositions with such technical progressive stuff.

dhalif: lol i was most happy to hear his reply! i still stick by symphony X as the greatest. thanks for the agreement dhalif! :D
