30 is a reasonable price for changing pickups. can try asking around here if anyone is willing to help you change for free or at a lesser price

i think 30 is an extremely reasonable price, plus (not that im saying anyone here is bad at it) beez has been doing it for eons.

dude is that one of the really old s540ltds which come in hss config? anwyays.........yep beez is the way to go!...eh....the person to go to.

string lock blocks..lo-pro blocks may be hard to find locally, try ebay. same goes for the back cover, but yes you dont really need it and can easily make your own actually. think plastic dustbin.

congratulations on acquiring the very guitar most of the meza virs first album was written on..i recognized it in an instant ;)

EDIT: by the way its a regular S540, early 90s. 92 if i remember right..

thought they've been around before the 90's? late 80s no?

sabers were introduced in '88, im saying this particular guitar is an early 90s production model. older sabers had original edges, this one has a lo-pro from when it was first introduced i believe.

you got it a little mixed up, with a few rare exceptions (jap domestic models/oneoffs/modded) S540s were all SSH config, the S540LTDs are the ones with HSH.
