Where to find Electric Upright/Double Bass in SG?

When I was exploring the option of playing EUB/EDB, I was looking for one in Singapore and most importantly checking out the prices. Below are some I've found. Please chip in if you are aware of more locations selling a EUB/EDB. Thanks!

Brand/Model - Shop, Price
1) Yamaha Silent Bass (SLB-200) - Yamaha, about $5500
2) Stagg 3/4 EDB - Zen Guitarworkz, $999.90
3) Dean Pace - Ranking Sports, Music Theme, about $1050
4) Palatino VE500 - Music Theme, $1388. Ranking sports $1350.
5) Eminence - Bass Loft (pre order)
6) Aria - ?
7) NS - ?

I know of a store at Meriden Plaza there, a little down from the Istana ... will check out the prices and update as and when i can.

Thanks for the thread! I'm looking for an EUB/EDB too ... =)

I think the shop is "Music Essentials". Didnt know they carry EUB/EDB. Do keep us updated if you have any information.
 
they carry orchestral strings yes?

i can check them out though ... i might want to get a upright instead of an EUB ... nothing beats the upright sound ... =)

do you have samples of you playing your stagg?

I have a 5 string BSX EUB I ordered about 9 years ago from US.

Waiting list was about 6 mths then, they sent it in fantastic packaging via courier without a scratch.

Cost me less than SGD 2K in total

The quality is excellent and must say I am still impressed everyday by the instrument. It's best to call him up and speak to him in person about your requirements. These can be custom made despite his templates.

I have not changed the strings or set up --- it just plays out of the box fantastic. In fact I have given away my upright acoustic bass to my drummer.

Yes the shop carries mid-high end acoustic double bass.

No I do not have any recordings, but there are several youtube videos of the Stagg played by others.
 
Hey i saw a yamaha slient bass at Bedok Cash Converters... I can't remember how much though. I think it was like $1800.. good luck with your find...

I wish i did, but this is my 1st time touch the baby hahahaha..
I play with standard (what do u call for that) before and not much..just like music and play around, not as a Pro
