Where to buy only 1 string for replacement?

hi guys
my A5 string snapped, and i needed a replacement. a cheap one will do. im a rookie in this guitar scene,and my yamaha classical CG-110A A5 string has broke. all the string on that guitar have not been replaced ever since i bought it.

yamaha is selling that string for $4. felt quite expensive. anywhere else selling cheaper A5 classical string? just need one will do.

Hi there,

I'm new to guitar too and I got this J&D acoustic DG-Solo guitar from Sports & Ranking and was wondering which string should I buy and replace should something happen?

Nylon or steel?
Elixir or Daddario and there are so many gauge (light, nanoweb, medium etc) and stuff, so I'm pretty confused.

Any help would be great, thanks!

changing the whole packet would be more worth it in the long run. besides, the sound would be more balanced. don't compromise the sound of your guitar. if 1 string is going to cost you $4, might as well spend an additional $4 to get a full packet.

individual strings never come cheap. you can check with Music Theme. They do sell individual strings.

agree with Shred. better to change all your strings at one go. a full set of strings doesnt cost you much more than $4. unless you just changed to new strings...

Kelvin of guitar connection did tell me before why he doesn't sell individual strings. there is a demand yes but it's not worth the trouble. he said, not only does it compromise your sound, the cost of getting individual strings is very high.

besides, I believe the strings will be left alone for a very long time hence getting strings with slight rusting is quite unavoidable.

Ah, just changed one new set of guitar strings and the first string broke even before I started playing! I guess I can find just one at Davis? Can anyone advise?

Next time buy Dr Duck's 9s or 10s from SV, comes with extra E string lol.

Hmm never heard of the brand. Have been using Super Slinky since eons ago. Where can I find them?
