Where to buy Graphite?

Anyone know where to buy graphite powder (or other recommended lubricants) to lubricate the guitar nut?

you can get this @ Yamaha (i've finished mine, not buying any more: costly):

but it's not significantly better than vaseline (which i'm using)

the lube has a tipped end- very similar to a bottle of EYE-MO eye drop. squeeze accordingly into the slot.

however, my way would be to squeeze a small amount onto a piece of paper, snip a bit of guitar string & use this to apply into the slots.

with some logical thinking :P

u take some excess guitar string like the G or B, stick it in the bottle and then wipe it in the slot.

im also using the graphitall, works good enough.

We have the GHS GraphitALL. Give us a ring 68831550 for the price or just drop by (I can't remember the price now, but it's definitely good price as are all our accessories)

According to manufacturer, "It helps in tuning and maintaining of all stringed instruments." and "It works well with metal to metal contact with tremolo instruments"

wow... "lubricating the nut". After a while, it does sounds funny to me :D

Oh well... no wonder my wife always give suspicious look when I talk about guitar. What not? I want a sexy body with an "f hole", and before I start playing with it, I lubricate the nut first.

quick cheap way.

2B lead and use a mechanical pencil. Just rub the lead in the nut grooves.

Graphite.

that's the traditional way for sure.

but some of us know that pencil graphite stains maple- it's the chore of cleaning up that we'd like to avoid when dealing with graphite.

ahh mines a rosewood board, not much of a concern for me. so if yours maple well that lube graphite thingy might be the way to go.

Anyway if your careful with rubbing the pencil tip in the groove you wont get the stuff onto your board.
