nah... swee lee doesn't sell frontmans... Ranking does, but it costs a bomb... $275 the last i checked. They might have a special deal but i didn't ask.

275 for a Fender 25 watter is pretty okay to me.
I saw a Marshall 15 watter for 200 at Davis, complete with efx and all...

i know you've heard pretty good stuff about fender amps but their low-end solid states sound nothing like their main products (i.e. 59 Bassman, Deluxe reverb etc..)
Music Theme has a 75Watt frontman than goes for 500 plus if im not wrong. 275 is a reasonable price for the FM25R.
but if you want advice for your gear as a whole, don't do it. Get a second hand roland cube 30X. you should be able to get it for around 270. Slowly move up the gear ladder from there. Once you're done with the cube, you can sell if for the same price or even around 250 (only 20 dollars loss...) if you're in a hurry.
Then in maybe 8 or 9 months time, when you've improved even more, you can increase your budget to 500 and maybe go for Vox Night Train, Blackheart Handsome Devil and so on... then sell again and increase budget as your knowledge about amps and effects increases!
Fender frontman, no matter how much you try, isn't going to improve your knowledge on how amps work and how tone can be improved.

i owned a 25r and i hated it. even with no efx running and with my guitar straight to amp, it was sooo muddy, dark and just unpleasent... maybe its just my opinion...
