where can i ---rent--- an American Standard Telecaster?

hi, all softies!

fourtones music offers off-site guitar rental at a rate of $100 a day for some of the better guitars around (i.e. Am Standard Strat, LP Standard, and so on...)

i'm looking to rent a Fender Standard American Telecaster for one day. anyone knows where i should go to, and what the rate is?

You could try Blackwood and speak really nicely. I'm just hazarding a guess because that's probably the closest shop that will lend you one. Okay probably not.
Why not try fellow Softies? Ask your pals etc. I haven't come across renting shops, if not i wouldn't spend that much on gear, just use a playable guitar at home and save for a really good one, in the mean time rent.

yeah. i'm looking to rent a standard tele for one day so i can do a comparison against my tele copy at home.

as a musician, i want to know exactly how much difference there is between the "real thing", and a replica. i'm very sure this will help me make very informed decisions in the future.

anyway, i think my only solution is to borrow from a friend.... when i finally make friends with someone who owns an AM Tele. hah
