whatsup with this chopper t?

hey people,

i just got myself a dimarzio chopper t,
which i fixed onto my tele..

this is how i fix it..
it sounds....weird..

it is exceptionally thin, no mids and lows at all..
moreover, it hums like f***..

whats the problem here? does anyone know?
soldering problems? i dont know..

My guess is you followed Seymour Duncan's colour code which is different from DiMarzio's.
Try connect black & white wires together.
Bare & green wires to ground (back of pot).
Red wire to switch.
