What's your daily guitar exercise routine?

For me, I play through all the scales with economy and alternate picking, before I practice for my songs. What about you guys?

these days im too lazy to practice. so everyday i play stairway to heaven's solo and bohemian rhapsody's solo and im finished lol.

personally i practice through songs i havnt perfected yet or songs which would prolly kill your fingers then i proceed to easier songs to relax my fingers and usually i end it with scales + the help of a metronome, but at times i would try to add in other stuff if my interests prompts me to venture into other techniques

A7X- Beast and the Harlot, the rythm is so funky and cool with palm muting then no palm muting, i guess its easy for some guys but i find it mind boggling hahaha :D

I used to solo over blues chord progression for almost everyday back then in order to train my solos. Try it. Without knowing how to solo over it, it feels like you don't know how to solo on almost just about anything.. :)

A couple of sweeps in C major progression order, random scale running on the A minor scale in 5 diff positions and For the love of god by steve vai.

hmmm i dun really have a fixed pattern. i usually practice economy picking the scales, sweeping simple arpeggios, solo-ing over key changes, chords and if i have to learn new songs then i practice them :p

i usually start off with improving my techniques (legato, sweep picking, alternate picking etc.) and speed with a metronome. Then i go through caged system, scales and modes. then i play songs that i'm learning and continue transcribing a song slowly. :]

Seriously if you do this everyday, some day I'll see you live at esplanade , maybe live at indoor stadium, live at budokan, live at royal albert hall.

It's a good idea to be doing that too, just that i recommend you to practise more on economy picking coz it's going to be very difficult to play fast and more cleanly in the future if you're going to learn how to play it in alternate picking when soloing.
