Whats the first bass song u ever learnt??

Lenny - by SRV (Tommy Shannon's basslines).
Easy, and shiok to "jam along" with Stevie.

hmm, it was either Dammit, All The Small Things or What's My Age Again haha my first band played almost nothing but Blink-182 stuff

I was forced to elarn it coz my dad wanted to play on guitar and needed someone to play bass. John lennon - imagine.

teenage dirtbag - wheatus

lol. those times sitting in the com room jamming wit my bro. that made me love bass... the boom.. heh. soon learnt a lot of other songs soon learnt 'that thing you do' - the wonders. still nice songs to play.

I would say I did a collection of first songs, as I had to learn how to play bass pronto to prepare for a gig.

The three songs were:
1) Zero (Smashing Pumpkins)
2) Enter Sandman (Metallica)
3) Somebody to Love (Jefferson Airplane)
4) Sweet Child of Mine (Guns and Roses)
5) Knocking on Heaven's Door (Guns and Roses)

Worst thing was, I had to learn how to play AND sing Enter Sandman too.....I've never been more nervous in my life during any gig, man.....

wah dude, then how the gig went?was it good?dont tell me its one of the 'first gig nightmare' =P

Well, that was in 2001....

Gig was okay, managed to fake it.

Was so damn nervous....missing strings left, right and centre!

I have to admit, I was initially attracted to the instrument by a certain Mike Dirnt from Green Day. I initially learnt Green Day's "Waiting" then going on to a learn a variety of their older ( and imo better ) material.
