I just saw the mel lewis ride at the cymbalholic forums (so far only pics), hope to hear a sample soon tho. I love the 24" light ride but it retails at 700++ !!

Thanks for the input guys, im lookin for some ideas as im planning to get some cymbals for my set up. Went down to sweelee the other day and tested out some sabians, I must say I really dig the sound of a 17" Legacy and the HH duo ride. I guess I might build something along that line. :-D

In terms of pitch, I don't think the Byzance Medium Crash will clash with the Armand Thin Crash. Not too sure about volume since I've never played them side by side. But I definitely think they will sound pretty different from each other in terms of pitch.

i agree with shaneypants, two 18"s won't clash; but ultimately it's your ears that would do the talkin. if you like it, pair them. if you dont, dont. easy peasy lemon squeezy.

the light ride oozes sexyness. i would trade my artisan med for it heh! in fact, the whole K Light range is quite brilliant. gotta love them 13" 15" Light Hats and 20" 22" 24" Light Rides!
btw, you can actually find the soundfiles of the mel lewis ride on cymbalholic, as well as cymbalsonly.
