Hi cupholder! :D

Personally i'd recommend a no frills delay pedal used by "everybody": Boss DD3 Digital Delay.
Quick and easy to get "usable sounds."
Costs $160-$180 new, cheaper 2nd hand. :?:

The extra cash, try to get a 2nd hand wah pedal.
Jim Dunlop crybaby are really good ones, but some might recommend Vox (china made nowadays) or Morley.
I just bought a 2nd hand GCB95 for $100 from a fellow softie. ;)

And if you still have a bit more budget left, get a power supply with daisy chain for your effects.
Save you money, time and the environment in the long run...

You can't expect to come here and ask people what to get.
Because everyone needs different things. Like a distortion unit, a overdrive , reverb and delay and many others.

So, get pedals according to YOUR NEEDS.

Depending on your musical style, you might need different variety of pedals to make your piece of music sound nice.

chill bro remy, I think he just wants to know his delay pedal options.

Remy does have a point though, getting a pedal according to your needs is a factor you should consider.

As for delay, you could try the BOSS DD-3 which has already been suggested. It's simple to use and it works.

Hahah alright.. Relax Remy, Its the 'Guitar Rookie Corner'. No need get so worked up & no offense too, if there was any offences made, but in this case i feel theres none made, so i guess i should just stop here.;)

I think you might wanna try out both the carbon copy and the dd-3, as they sound slightly different. From my experience and imo, the boss digital delays have a squeaky clean and crisp repeat, whereas the carbon copy has a warmer and more "organic" tone. Personally prefer the MXR but it's preference really.

Get a Ibanez DE7. Also a delay pedal and easy to use, imo. Get a Danelectro Coolcat Chorus also. Makes playing clean sound nice! :D

Btw cupholder... is that a C-cup? haha. Ok, I'm drifting...
Well with $300, you could consider getting both a delay plus either a chorus/booster/compressor. Common effects in the chain, you might need it.

i tried my friend's mxr carbon copy delay once and its a really solid pedal. simple to use, ideal pedal with ur budget. im saving up for one too. haha

I was looking through the Guitar FX Buy/Sell, check these out:
chorus: http://soft.com.sg/forum/guitar-efx-buy-sell/80762-boss-super-chorus-ch1-pedal-$70.html
compressor: http://soft.com.sg/forum/guitar-efx-buy-sell/80682-wts-boss-cs-3-a.html

Now you're left with $160 for your delay... ;)
And i recall someone selling a DD3 for $120-$140 somewhere in there too!
