do what I wud do

order the parts seperately (neck / body etc) to suite your specs then custom build.

Check our my new "whacking" guitar thread - I just rewired a superstrat to have both LP kinda sounds as well as strat ...based on a 3 way switch combined with a 3 way toggle switch - 7 dif sounds in all

yup. agreed. nothing beats a lp tone other than a lp.
similarly nothing beats a strat tone other than a strat. :twisted:

you could use a duncan lil 59 in the neck position of the strat. bridge you could go with a lil screaming demon.

tho it wont get you to that holy grail of les paul tonal nirvana, but the pickups that i mentioned, do sound a lot fatter, cuz they're humbuckers in single coil housings.

Im not lookin to get an exact LP tone i guess. Something similar to get me into that ballpark would do.

FGL, i was thinking of that you know... Im a handy DIY-er so i can prolly do that like ive done with several other projects. hmmmm.

imo if you want something similar to a lp tone.
try the humbucker wiring or the pickups fore mentioned.
