what kind of wood is used on the ibanez rg370 neck?

worried tt i might had brought the wrong polisher for it :?

neck: maple (rear) + rosewood (fretboard)

body: basswood

there's nothing to worry about, if you apply any polishing fluid on the body, it comes into contact with the final lacquer overcoat, not the bare wood. you're not intending to apply it on the fretboard are you? please don't...

as in put the lemon oil on the cloth, only apply after it dried up?

then for the rest of the body, just put on cloth and wipe right?

WHY CANNOT APPLY ON FRETBOARD!? i been wiping my fret board with gibson all surface polish...its a rosewood fretboard btw...die..what will happen to it ar??

don't get too alarmed, if there's no adverse reaction then everything's fine.

many body polishes have a rather corrosive formula so that it dislodges dirt on the body surface/ make your guitar shine. this might be detrimental to the fretboard if it's of the porous kind, eg: rosewood. the fluid will be absorbed into the grains & it'll dry it up. if you don't see such signs, then it's still ok. if it's a maple fretboard then by all means go ahead 8)

i thought when that happens u should use the deep conditioner instead?

and what do you use to get rid of the dirt and grime on the fretboard?

heh, maple fretboards with lots of dirt and grime on em = sexah! *thinks malmsteen*

anyhow, my bro polished my tele's rosewood fretboard with this fretboard polish, brought out the colour of the baby. btw, will dirt have any adverse effect on the sound?
