recording rap vocals

hi i wanna know what equipment should i get to get professional sounding rap vocals at home thru my laptop.are the samson gtrack or c03 usb mic good enough.and also any tip on set up would be great thanks

C03 USB mic should be okay, usually rap production requires you to overlay multiple vocals and also you need to get the groove in your voice to make it sound right. so your mixing skills is a consideration also.

ok thanks what do u mean by groove and how can i improve on my mixing skills. I am actually a rapper moving into sound and trying to do a good job so i can get my stuff out myself

groove = feel. you can't rap like you're chanting right?

mixing = comes with theory, and practice.
