Wes Borland to hold guitar clinic in the region

omg that toggle switch on his guitar is great...i want one!!!
once Limp Bizkit threw him out..the band had nothing special already
 
Hmm.

While I'll admit his tone is great etc etc.. he kinda dropped off my charts for dissing guitar solos as beign a waste of time.

Perhaps he has higher prioities. Or a deeper interest in effects rather than notes.
 
OMG! He's going to Penang too! That's my hometown! I love this guy! This is the very first thing I'm proud of Penang!
 
He's even going to KL first, and then from Penang to Johor, he's taking the long way. Weird.

Hi guys. For those of you who could not make it, the Wes Borland clinic was so-so. He wasn't too sure how these clinic things go, but it was cool. About 45 mins of talking, 30 odd minutes of playing. It was interesting as he showed us how to use those loop pedals to create all sorts of weird sounds and riffs in which he does. His signature guitar was wicked too. Beautiful semi-hollow, with a thick sound with a ton of resonance.

Managed to meet him, and he's a real nice bloke. I've attached a couple of photos below for you guys to see. I was right in front and they allowed photo taking.





 
ARGH!!! Why singapore why!!! I've always found wes to be a very unique guitarist since he got into limp. But, limp really lost it when he got out. WES's big dumb head album was kinda cool too!
 
Yeay! I'm gonna see him tonight in Penang. It's a really long show then? 45+30 minutes. The newspaper said it was gonna be 15 minutes. I sure hope I could meet him.
 
Last night was great. Wes' guitar clinic in Penang was awesome. The last song with the bow was like the highlight. He's such a nice guy. With all the talk, autograph and photo session. I didn't stay 'till after the signing though. Needed to catch a bus back to Singapore. I'll post up some photos and videos soon. I'm late for school.
 
Aah, that viddy is cool. He even said during the clinic that Black Light Burns is trying to make their way over to KL. Looking forward to see if that happens!!
 
Yeah, he said they wanna play at "Rock the World" in December. Hopefully nothing goes wrong. The ministers won't mistake Goth for Black Metal would they? :roll:
 
Hahahaha. Well, I think this year being Visit Malaysia Year 2007, they've actually loosened up abit on acts coming by KL, however, tightened up on illegal domestic stuff. Hey, Kanye West is coming by. That dude spews the F word every sentence - i'm surprised he made it to town.
