thnks

and you get two maple necks.the more the merrier.and you have more necks to clean after that.

i thought pple is going for smaller thinner necks. the coolest thing u could do is to rid the competition by going half.

Hmm.

I honestly have only seen 1 Ibanez with a Maple fretboard before, and that was a JEM 777. In any case considering that Maple fretboards would be finished i.e. coated with lacquer, I would assume that by using normal guitar finish cleaners would help.

And of course, as mentioned above, the usage of Lemon-oil would be, well, disastrous. Maple is pretty much a soft wood, and it soaks up moisture easily, hence the need for Maple necks to be finished, no matter how thinly. Applying an oil-based substance onto your maple fretboard would surely be unadvisable.

if u're talking abt the fretboard being maple, then use naptha. if it's the neck...just use a cotton cloth to wipe down after or in between uses.

Nope not exactly true................the RG550 has maple option as i have one (RG550/SA)with nitro-cellulose finish not lacquer.

Best just use the Dunlop Formula No.65...

.......do not use other fluids or solvents as it will only contribute to deteriorate the wood finish which protects it...

for maple necks in general, wiping down with regular guitar polish would be enough.
