wat acoustic guitar gd for $800-$1000 that i can get here?

hey, thinking of buying a new acoustic guitar frm shops here, pref a jumbo or dreadnought with a cutaway. i play a mixture of styles so will need a versatile guitar.appereance-wise, i hope to get something with a nat or sunburst finish. any suggestions? thanks.

Seagull, art and lutherie, Takamine korean series, Simon and Patricks, Blast! (from g77) top up 250 and u can get a lowest end Taylor/martin. ALL are GREAT stuff. All are solid tops and sound great. Oh yes.. maybe u'd like to state what you're looking for in it... Cutaway? Electronics?

hahah 1000 bucks cant get u any taylor, unless big baby, no cutaway, no electronics, or baby taylor, no cutaway and electronics as well

Have a look at the Yamaha J series, the ones they keep in that glass room at the PS combo shop. Dreadnought and jumbo. No electronics and cutaway for that kinda budget though.

u have to up ur budget by at least 50% lol.. but if u wan taylor-quality i'd suggest a timothy :)

Sry to say this but you want Taylor quality get a Taylor, Martin. There's no way round it. Even the low end Taylor are not really that fantastic.

With your budget, get a Blueridge. I've owned one, a BR343, sold it off as I underutilised it after I bought my 814CE. The sound was very sweet very balanced and louder than some dreadnoughts. And IMO it's the best brand you can get with that money. The BR 143 and 343 in particular. The mahogany are fantastic. I have yet to try any lemons, but there are truly gems inside every shipment I tried.

just nice i also looking to buy a accoustic guitar... Simon and patrick is nice sounding, but too light for me... maybe my imagination, but i prefer some weight on the guitar...

I tried timothy, boy the first thing that came to my mind is, i wont pay twice the price to buy a taylor when i have this. Its like when i played it, i just dont wanna put it down. But didnt try it pluged in.

i heard seagulls r gd, but i didnt try them so... cant really say much

Im not much of an acc player, but am looking for one to play in care grp. I not v fussy on the fit n finish, what is impt to me is that it must has gd projection, gd lows, and most impt is when u pick it up, u just wanna continue playing n playing n enjoy the tone.

I think timothy is gg for abt 800+, worth the check out, then again maestro also not too bad

I think action and fit is very important. More so for acoustic than electric. I highly doubt you will enjoy the tone of the guitar if the neck is not constructed properly and the action is high. Or in even worst case, warped neck after ownership for like a year or two.
