Hey guys just wanna know , do any of you own washburn guitars ?
Coz i dont see much thread that talks about washburn guitars . Issit unpopular ?
Or has there bad reviews on their guitar ?

I owned a Washburn guitar before. I bought it as a package at Swee Lee. Comes with the BD-12 amp. It was quite a good guitar, H-S-H config and 24 frets. Too bad I sold it off to get an Epiphone Les Paul.

prob some of the most underated guitars ever.

The USA models unfortunately are around $2000+ and up.
The mid range models (non Usa)are well made and sound good. Unfortunately, recently
they have shifted production to indonesia from korea. Hence quite a few people hesitate to buy them. However ive found indonesian guitars to be well made with consistent qc. In fact i trust them more compared to guitars made in china. 3/5 of my guitars are made in indonesia and i have no issues with them.

Wow an N4? i love that guitar with the natural colour and the reversed headstock .

Talking bout washburn guitars, have anyone heard of the Washburn Riff Contest ? The competition is on, anyone competiting ?

I got myself a Washburn X10 from a forum elsewhere for S$100! ( Is it cheap?)

Its my first electric guitar and I'm pretty much a beginner though I've had an acoustic guitar for years (it was passed down by a relative, its about 15 years old or somewhere there) but was never good at it cause it sounded funny. *Apparently I'm told the wood's warped*

Any comments on this guitar will be well appreciated! Cause I don't know much about electric guitars and I can't tell you about the tone or playability cause I don't have anything else to compare with it!

Right now I'm only using it for acoustic songs cause I got a basic amp with 'gain' only.

If u say the lower end models like the X10 or WI14, wat i can say is good for beginners.

But for me, I bought the WI14 once but I don't really much like it because the pickup has a little interference (or is it my 10w amp that made da sound sucky?) and the action is kinda high. I don't bother to mod the pickups or send it for setup since i got it cheap too.

Other than that, it is a good practice guitar.

Ok thought i'd reply to this thread...I've always loved washburns, especially the N-series guitars. Have an N2 for almost 14years now. But here's a recent acquisition, a Custom one-off rare NX6 with a FR schaller trem, the originals never came with these. NX6s are out of production and this piece is made in 2005. The Padauk is especially dense so the guitar's heavy and tone is thick. Both pups are coil tapped, Seymour Duncan '59 on neck and Bill Lawrence L500XL at bridge (originally a Seymour Duncan Custom Custom but swapped out). Great guitar, extremely playable and fast.

Hi, I own (year unknown) WG248 & year'94 N2 paduak...all stock (no modd)

WG248 very versatile guitar, h-s-h with push/pull tone knob for single coil option, pups sounds good..too bad it's discontinue.

NOt sure where is th official dealer for Washburn, probably guitar77?

i have a washburn wi45 in usa flag finish. love the sound! very solid! those randall sl/ul pickups are awesome. add in the vcc controls, increases the variety of tones available. its made in indonesia, but i'm really pleased with it!

I have a few Washburns:
RX40,
Newly bought Original Idol pro FTR
Newly bought Original Idol pro FTSB.
Black Knight WD5sceb Acoustic

My other guitars:
Cort M600
Squire Bullet HSS
Dean Exotica Walnut

Washburns are quite nice... :).. I'm going down that path currently.

Guitar Connection has 2 Washburn acoustics. Kinda knocked up which explains the price. I just sold my SBF-80 which is the guitar that Nuno Bettencourt uses when he plays midnight express. I attempted but failed miserably. However, you can get the same type of tone because it has this "boost" knob which shapes the tone this way.

Very unique instrument. Bought it on a regular day at Swee Lee because I was quite crazy over Nuno at that one point in time.

I like the N series. Anything N4 and above is good. would totally love to try his new N7. Overall the N series is a very good guitar but both the guitar and the player are terribly underrated.

Swee Lee still has loads of old stock. grab the Korean made guitars before they are all gone.

The N4 is awesome! I found that it was his pickups in that guitar that really gave it his signature tone. (If you're not counting his fingers and other variables:D)
