M mus New member Nov 4, 2008 #10 The easiest would be a chromatic scale up and down the neck. There are different warm up exercises from different players. The one by John Petrucci is very good. It helped me a lot after viewing it. Here's a warm up exercise by Joe Satriani, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_x5Bmdoyi20 Try finding Dave Mustaine or Adrian Smith lessons on youtube if you want more patterns on warming up.
