Hello,
I'm from the US and will be moving to Japan in August to study abroad. I'll be there until May of 2011 (maybe longer) and I'm wanting to possibly get a band started up, if at all possible.
I play guitar, and can sing. I also have a friend that will be living in Gifu that plays bass who is also from the US. I've been in two bands here in the US, and have extensive touring experience, and was also in a band signed to a label for a period of time.
I'm not really into "Japanese music" like J-Rock or J-Metal; more into screamo/hardcore/or post-rock.
My favorite heavy bands are UnderOath, Norma Jean, The Chariot. Not heavy bands are As Cities Burn, Circa Survive, Brand New -- just for an idea.
