Heya fellas! We’re a relatively new band (been together for almost a year and a half), all 18 this year, from the same secondary school, and we’ve played a couple of gigs, both paid and non-paid and we definitely plan to play more gigs. Roughly 1-3 a year.
Our current line up consists of:
1) Lead vocals (1 year of experience)
2) Lead guitarist/back-up vocals (3+ years of experience)
3) Bassist/back-up vocals (3 years of experience)
4) Drummer/percussionist (1 years of experience)
we're some pretty darn committed individuals, each wanting to see this band succeed!
Currently, we’re looking specifically for a female rhythm guitarist/keyboardist. Emphasis on “female” ‘cause we’d like some vocal diversity.
The band’s genre spans from: Funk, pop, pop-rock, punk, punk-rock, old school rock, alternative rock, hard rock, metal (American, European, power, symphonic, progressive etc etc etc.) and lastly contemporary rock.
However our preferred genres revolve around: Funk, contemporary/punk rock, hard rock/grunge and metal.
Examples of these would be:
Funk - Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Maroon 5
Contemporary/punk rock – Good Charlottle, Daughtry
Hard rock/grunge – Foo fighters, Seether
‘American’ heavy/thrash metal – Metallica, System of a Down, Avenged Sevenfold
‘European’ power/symphonic metal – Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, Amorphis, Epica
British rock/experimental – Muse, Arctic Monkeys
We’ve also done metal arrangements for various mainstream songs!
We’re not particular about the individual’s skill per se; but what we’re really looking for are committed individuals with similar music tastes, a passion for their instrument and openness to experiences! Technicality and musicality isn’t much of an issue, as long there’s chemistry!
Preferred age range would be between the ages of 16 and 20, and to reiterate, we are looking for a female guitarist/keyboardist!
Kindly drop me a text @ 91887765 if you’re keen!
