Vox AD30VT valvetronix
Yes, i know there are the newer versions of the valvetronix (VT30) but from what i am seeing, i don't think there will be much difference between all the valvetronix amps. Ok, with that said, lets go!!
I bought this amp secondhand for about $250 if i'm not wrong a few months ago and i am very impressed by its performance. 11 amp models and 11 effects ranging from tremelo to reverb and even compression. It has a ECC83 dual triode valve in the preamp stage of the amplification(??)
Sound-wise, its really good. Distortions sound really good and don't sound noisy, unlike some other low-end amps. Cleans sound sparkly and warm sounding. I like to crank up the gain on the clean amps and get a nice overdriven tube amp-like sound. Overall sound is very good. The effects are good enough, but auto-wah is terrible. This amp is pretty lound and dosent distort when cranked up to high volumes.
It has two channel presets for you to save your favourite settings. Which is nice. Metal grill in the front of the amp covering the speakers gives it a nice look to it.
Conclusion
This is definately a good choice for jamming at home. Really nice sounding, espicially the distortion settings. I will point out that this amp is not for the metal heads as it is not really a high gain amp.
