Urgent! Need help with Ovation guitar

Hi all, hope you all can help me here. My ovation has a OP30 on board electronics. Tried to replace the battery today but the battery compartment can't seem to open with the battery replacement button. Anyone here encountered this before? City Music's closed till the 11th and I need to use the guitar quite urgently.
