Umbrella (Acoustic Cover) - BennyW ft Hailey Nguyen

You should record behind closed doors so there'll be less ambient noise aka whatever's outside the window amongst them trees then you won't have to strum too hard. Therefore, the singer can relax a little more& emote.

As for the recorded backing tracks, they're distracting.

This is what I suggest:

You mix a little of picking& light strumming, singer learn to breath& feel the song, slow the song down just a wee bit. If you're adamant on using recorded backting tracks, use ambient effects, gentle strings or the like.

Try that, re-record in a closed room cos sometimes the natural acoustics of an indoor venue can add a little magic.
