Tremolo bridge to Fixed bridge.

Hi

Is it possible to change from a tremolo bridge to a fixed bridge on a strat copy?

It keeps going out of tune.

If not, are there any other ways to solve this problem?

Thanks.

Can try use wooden block?

Yup.

Make sure the bridge plate is flat on the guitar's top's surface.

I just had high-tension springs added to the back such that the bridge was flushed to the body. $6 for the springs and that was it...

Many possible reasons why your strat is going out of tune... one big reason could be strings binding at the nut and bridge saddles too. One cheap and easy fix is to rub some graphite from a pencil into the nut slots, its a great lubricant and i do it for all my guitars.

But yes, if you're not using the trem and want the equivalent of a fixed bridge, just put on some extra trem springs. Quick, easy and reversible.
