Travel Tales

Ze, very nice indeed. With a sound engineer behind you, not much can go wrong as far as getting a decent recording out is concern.
Is 'Bittersweet' a pilot or a finish product?
The vocals are excellent. Instrumentally I kept expecting something else to happen after the first verse, especially when bass is your instrument but playing a matching bass-line to 'Bittersweet' is not an easy task.
Good composition, good 'hook' at the refrain. Really enjoyed that and hope to hear more from you.

hey thanks for the kind words Thubtenkway. Bittersweet is a finished product as for now but i really hope i can come up with a full band version someday. just need time to write parts and gather up the funds needed to record ;)

anyways, keep checking out my myspace for future updates! :D

Good song! Very very good songwriting.

Love the hook, can say that the melody rings in my head after just the first chorus :)

How much did it cost to produce that song with Roland Lim?

If you have to pay 400$, that guy better be a genius, he! he!
If 'Bittersweet' is a pilot, it fails in bringing up completely the high points, especially at the key change of the last refrain. The one rhythm guitar doing all the work to crescendo just isn't enough but you don't have to take me seriously, it only my own opinion. Yes, the song is very good and clean recorded.
Care seems to have taken to timing but there are some inconstancies, especially with the guitar strumming, sometime that you should watch more carefully next time.
Is Roland an ex-steward from SIA? I know a sound engineer by the same name who was one.
Ze, learn to use recording softwares like Cubase, E-magic or ProTools, it's worth the effort and financially better off. You can have the leisure of taking your time in constructing, arranging, experimenting and recording your music, ..... these are structures that musicians like us cannot afford to pay for in studio-time.

hey i really appreciate the constructive criticism! will take note of what you said. and yeah i actually do agree that the bridge leading up to the key change doesnt build the song up enough.

anyways, roland wasnt a steward in SIA. he just finished his NS a few months back and has been doing sound engineering ever since. if you're interested in working with him, you can check out his client list and bio at his myspace, www.myspace.com/rolandlim . ;)

If I am not mistaken, I do hear a keyboard here and there. The keyboard can build up the tension before the last bridge or add your bass there.
Another idea is to voice ad-lip with hmmms! or Ahhhs! or OOOhs! you know what I mean.
Think about building up your own home studio. Somebody like you can benefit from it.

ya man i'll definitely try to start up a home studio. gotta get the money first though ;) just have to wait till NS then i'll have a lot of cash with no time to spend. hahaha. anyways, the instrument you hear is actually an electric guitar.

btw, i took some time to read your profile on ourmedia.org. that's one hell of an interesting life you've led man. respect
