Don't necessary have to be classic rock.

Any types of rock even punk! Let the list grow!

PS: Some Sex Pistols will be good :D

Er I think this is a must-play-rock-songs thread, not a must-play-metal-songs thread...

For me:

30 Seconds to Mars - The Kill (simple, easy, but fun to play)
30 Seconds to Mars - A beautiful lie (a very easy song but very fun to play)
Radiohead - Creep
U2 - Vertigo

led zep - stairway to heaven
nirvana - smells like teen spirit
blink 182 - all the small things
metallica - fade to black, master of puppets, enter sandman
iron maiden - the trooper, flight of icarus, dance of death
x japan - weekend
acdc - back in black
deep purple - smoke on the water

Denial - Sevendust
In loving Memory - Alter Bridge
September - One Less Reason
Champagne Supernova - Oasis
Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd
Fix You - Coldplay
She Is Beautiful - Andrew W.K.
I Don't Want To Miss A Thing - Aerosmith
Dream On - Aerosmith
Out of Love - Air Supply
Paint My Love - Michael Learns To Rock
If I Could - Mineral

yes eugene, time to buck up your playing so you can play metal :D. Hahaha kidding.

I can play metal, but I choose not to play it exclusively . I find some metal songs easier than some rock songs actually, its quite strange.

I got some more:
"Chasing cars", Snow Patrol
"When the children cry", White Lion (particularly the solo since most of the song is acoustic)
"TNT", AC/DC (damn fun song to play arh!)
