Tone & Volume pots

Any guitar techs out there? Please help.

Does bypassing the wiring for the volume or tone pots set the default level of my guitar to level 10 at all times? Is this the same for turning my volume and tone knob to 10 (without bypassing)?

You mean wire the pickups directly to the jack right? If you do this, the pickups will sound unusually bright and brittle. The volume and tone pots impose a 'load' on the circuit so there is less highs.

perhaps you can put a fixed resistor value there to make it seem that the volume and tone are on full permanently
