any of u guys studying in TMC? the short duration for getting a diploma there seem very attractive, since i cant go to uni yet and trying to get a diploma asap..

If you can go to a local poly, it would be better as the diplomas there are more recognised. And if you do well in poly, u may even have a chance to go to a local uni.

but poly takes 3 yrs to get a diploma right? i juz want a fast diploma, n i'm not aiming to go to local uni anyweis..

fast bt u must take into account the recognition of the dip by the employers. If u are an employer, with one candidate having a 3 year full time dip and the other has a fast part time dip, which one will u hire? Think far

i mean, get the diploma, then go to uni. cuz with o level cert i cant go to the uni i want. all the websites of the uni i've checked all state 'high school diploma' as one of the admission criterias.

If you are planning to go overseas, be sure to check carefully and make sure that it's not the requirement for local students that you're looking at. Because the requirements for local and international students are VERY different(read:MUCH HARDER) and also cos usually they won't say high school diploma as for international students they have a standardized testing system such as SATs or TOEFL etc

Then i thnk having a local poly diploma will get u a better chance esp for Aust uni, they have exemptions of up to 2 years for some local poly dip holders. besides Poly is Fun! The best times that I had for my school years...
