Thumpin' On A Precision Bass

Hey guys, wanna raise a question; is it suitable to play slap'n'pop on a precision bass? Can it be played like on the jazz bass? Cause' i thought that precision might be more of a rock bass that for jazz and such stuffs.

Can be done. But usually have to cut on the tone knob.
