This is me...

fgl - you are an idiot....:| for putting that pic up!! haha...!!

blueprintstudios - i definitely need to do a proper recording. haha...but not before i practice of course.

hahaha I find when combining the two together - the pleasure my eyes expirience outweighs the pain my ears feel and life is more bearable .... :p:mrgreen:

EiraVanora : i'm a guy who speaks my mind, if you suck I will tell you, you suck. your vocals is not as painful as the average bedroom recording I hear, so that's the good news. i'm not sure how old you are, but another experience I realised from recording females when they were younger then recording them again when they turn more "adult" , is that unlike us males, we go through puberty, we sound like we eat too much keropok and our voices break. but for the females, there's a "maturity" level too. you may not sound good now, but with practise and "vocal maturity", it'll all come through nicely with time. that's another good news.

there's 5 points to take note in vocal recording - lyrics (duh) / pitch / tempo / pronounciation and finally the "feel/emotion" (linked to the meaning of thelyrics)

you got mainly all of them right just left pitch only heheh. all these factors only come with experience and practise. no shortcut (not that I know of.)

oh before I end this post I can give you one final good news which is the best : you take criticism positively. and that will bring you a long way.

if you're starting out vocal recording DIY in your bedroom , feel free to ask in the How To sound section + click on my DIY recording FAQ (I believe it's helpful because ever since I typed out, almost no one soft-msgs me questions anymore...).

50¢ worth

fgl - well maybe that's because you havent heard me sing live yet. =P hahaha...

blueprintstudios - as unbelievable as it may seem, i am actually 25 yrs old and i have been singing my whole life. and so i have been criticised my whole life, and by the worse person imaginable. my mum. hahaha...!

i know i have no problems with lyrics, tempo and pronounciation. my main problems are pitch (i tend to go flat, yes, i get that alot) and feel (yes, people say i sing emotionalessly, i get that alot too). so basically all that every one has mentioned are points that i already know. hahaha...yeah, and plus the 'i shout when i sing'. which i totally, totally disagree. i'm just naturally loud. i know when i'm shouting or not.

maybe i get too cautious when i did the recordings, or when i sing infront of people? hence the lack of emotion. possibly, considering that i have absolutely no confidence in myself and i have low-self esteem. *surprise, surprise*

anyways, i really thank you for your 50cents worth.

you're too late to do music....

only if you think you're too late. it's all in the mind. otherwise keep it up

you know your problems, it's better than you're in denial. trust me I've seen some...
