Theft in Church

Hey guys, I'm not a frequent member of this forum, but I would just like to highlight a theft incident which happened in my church and would like to urge fellow players to be careful with their instruments.

This happened about 2 weeks back when I was away from church, and only heard about it recently. There was a theft incident in my church and the perpetrators used force entry to enter the sanctuary(sanctuary door is always locked). They then headed to our vastry room where we store some of our equipments. A police report has been made. Equipments stolen was :

1. Ibanez TR Bass Guitar : This bass guitar was bought some 10 years ago at SweeLee, cost about $800

2. Korg X50 Synthesizer, cost : $1060

(This synthesizer has been found in a Cash Converters shop)

Even though it may be futile, I hope that the music community can help keep a look out for the Bass guitar. It holds sentimental value to the band in the church. Sorry if the pictures aren't clear, but it's the best we've got.

Also in addition I urge fellow musicians to be careful with their instruments and not fall victim to such acts of sin.

Anyone with information on the bass guitar can directly PM me.:D

Thanks for your time.

Got it man! thanks for the warning! They will get their deserts from God one day. After one day they wanna steal some instrument again, open the casing, hell notes inside. hahaha.

nah, they didnt see a need to i guess?? Those items were the most valauble ones other than the drumset....

I bet that they would pull a fast one by selling to cash converters or a 2nd hand guitar store for peanuts since the gear they stole arnt exactly that expensive. wasting their time stealing in my opinion.

similar thing happened to my church too, far more equipment gone than that though.
IIRC they also tried to steal our soundboard (how're they gonna carry it out!?!!? 0.0 )

but yeah, these things can happen anytime and anywhere. I hope no one starts to stereotype about religion/etc. Let's keep it peaceful. (just in case, never hurt to have precautions.)

What. These people are really desperate, that they're starting to steal all sorts of things from everywhere?

Glad you found the keyboard, but I'll keep an eye out for the bass guitar. Although, I must add it may not be easy

if it were an insider job and the guy just used the key to open the locked door hoping that no one would notice, that would be quite dumb haha. if the thief knew where the equipment were, it would make his job so much faster.

Might be some camper who camps outside the church every sunday. Hes a bassist and cannot afford a bass. Upon hearing the bass being played he cannot control himself and has the urge to take it.

Should have some form of surveillance man.. I dont know of such stories in my church.

Thank God

and condolences to the church which got their equipment nipped.

The police got holy aura. Sure win.

hey guys, thanks for all your concerns.

I just got word that the bass may be in a cash converters shop in Ang Mo Kio, I'm currently in school so I can't verify that so if any kind soul would be happening to pass by that area, do help me check it out.:D

Once again thanks.

Damnation without relief.
