The different using Single Pedal with 2 bass drum..

more expensive, less expensive. :P

Or you can have different bass drums so you can have different sounds and accents.

Hey Man,

I've played Twin bass drums with single pedals for over 15 years and have recently changed to double pedals and single kick and I must say there is a very different FEEL to the drums. I do prefer 2 bass drums as opposed to single because the heads have time to resonate with two drums. Single kick for me feels like the heads are still bouncing back when you are about to stike the drum with your other foot, which in turn "CHOKES" the sound.

And of course two bass drums look soooo cool.:smt080

Hope this helps

yah that's a con of a double pedal...but dave weckl or whoever doesn't seem to have any problem with it..

well a pro about double pedal is that it's only hitting one bass drum.. so u don't have to strain ur ears and tune 2 bass drums accurately..

yea i admit having 2 bass drums looks cool man..

wait wait..there are more points...but i've forgotten it...damn..

Using 2 bass drums, as BoogieMan said, lets the full sound of the drum sound before the second one hits..looks better, sounds better. Obviously con is carrying more around, and having to adjust playing and sittint due to more stuff by your legs :D

Yes two bass drums is has one VERY BIG Con,

Having to carry all that gear around sucked ass, I don't know how I did it for so long because where I came from (Australia) you have to bring your own gear to Jamming studios, to gigs, to everything!!! :smt013 And I had to carry with me 2 x 22" kicks, 10, 12, 14,16, 18 toms 2 x snares 12 x cymbals and hardware, NIGHTMARE!!!

But once again, IT LOOKED COOL. and YES I DID USE IT ALL.

Now days I play a simple 5 piece with double pedal, much easier.
