Sorry for the horrible recording.

:(

Help help! What should I do? Please use simple terms if possible, never really had proper theory in music.

Please dont throw tomatoes when you see me. Or mention about it, I think I'll jus run away and hide.

:?

Maybe I should jus stick to playing strings. *runs*

Hmm.

I think you have some pitching and diction issues. What do I mean?

Pitching is how well you can sing a note, and sustaining that note is also very important.. I notice your notes die away very quickly and it is important to do breathing exercises in order to improve your ability to sustain notes. Some people say that jogging will help your breathing, and I think it's true.

Diction is your pronounciation while singing. Unless you intend to be a mumbling rocker like Kurt Cobain or Jay Chou, don't be afraid to flex your lips and make those words come out as crisply and cleanly as possible.

However, overall I do believe you have the potential to carry on. I'm sure you have a passion for singing (if not you won't dare to post this on an open forum right?) so carry on with your passion, just remember to ask for constructive feedback and listen to more styles of singing so as to remain more open-minded.

hope this helps :)

Please dont throw tomatoes when you see me.

dood we don't even know how you look like let alone be bothered to carry a sack of tomatoes with us till we meet you... lol. relek ah..

for starters... i like your tone. i donno about the forum but these days i've been hearing better vocal tones everywhere from vocal starters... kudos~ maybe it's a phase or something or maybe i'm going deaf who knows

secondly... what crawldaddy says on pitching- that's the only bit that seems to be the problem, but i don't know.
i think you're alright with pitching and diction. not on the recording, but in person when you're not recording and behind doors and feeling completely comfortable, i have a gut you won't have those probs. in the recording, for me, it sounds more like you're nervous/shy/too conscious on how you sound, or trying too hard, and it's affecting your singing.

if you're not, you could probably pull it off like that *snap fingers*.

try record again on your own time, and just listen to the song and how well you know it and enjoy singing it. everything'll come out more natural and easily and you'll be surprised at how you'll sound.
