tele wiring help

guys im not sure hw to seperate the tone knob on my tele in a way that its only used for the neck pick up and the bridge pup is open...i only noe hw to do it so dat the tone knob affects both pick ups...

heres my current diagram and hope u guys could help me thanks!

You see the wire from the tone pot going to the volume pot?

disconnect that and solder it direct to the switch where the neck pickup connects

Yes the 3 way switch, to the lug where the neck pickup wire joins.

On hindsight, why not add in a on/off switch(push/pull pot) to bypass the tone pot for the bridge when you want to.

I feel that gives you much more possibilities. rather than just having a fully open brige tone.

You might need to swap some parts out + do some drilling and such.

Here's what you need:-

Visit this Website

Look at the bottom for the 250k dual gang audio taper pot. You need two exactly like that.

Then, visit here, you need the on/on SPDT toggle switch.

Then wire it up as if you have 2 tone pots, and 2 volume pots with the SPDT switch in the neck pickup line's volume and tone (wire in to middle pole), with up sending the signal to tone pot, down sending signal straight to the switch .

I'm not sure if I make any sense, but yeah it would work in theory.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think its worth a shot trying this out.
